Whenever I'm working in Beaverton, I always have dinner there at least once. The food is consistent and tasty. The staff are pleasant and the atmosphere makes for a nice evening.
Certainly not a place you go to for ambiance and class, but as far as dives go, it's up there as one of my local favorites. To me, the best dive bars are a bit sketchy but deliver with cheap drinks and decent food. I've still yet to find a chicken fried stake that is as satisfying or as HUGE as what you get here. Even won trivia night here and scored me a gift card to come back. Occasionally they'll have live music, but the venue is not really set up well for that so the music will absolutely dominate the acoustics and drown out any conversation you may be trying to have. But I can't complain too much... I mean, it's the Broadway Saloon.
This is a sort of dive bar on the "main drag" in old town Beaverton. The place has been here forever and I come by every now and then. Dunno why it took me 35 years to write this review. Maybe because Yelp wasn't around for much of that time? This saloon is not a biker bar although it's not uncommon to see bikers here. And of course a lot of townies. I go here for a beer and a burger although they do have other menu choices and offer a full bar. Can be a little noisy but it's usually ok for meeting friends at lunchtime. Wait staff is great. They run from really good to totally amazing. There's a couple of female barkeeps who really go above and beyond. Very friendly place. Decent prices. Service is usually fast even when they are busy. They always keep the brews coming so it's a serious and professionally run saloon.
